Claudia Rinaldi is the Joan Weiler Arnow ’49 Professor of Education at Lasell University and chair of their education program. She’s a national expert on learning disabilities of English language learners (ELLs). Among her many peer-reviewed publications is the book Practical Ways to Engage All Struggling Readers. She leads a graduate certificate program in teaching bilingual students with disabilities.

Her research interests include the MTSS framework to support ELLs; teacher education in bilingual special education; and diversifying the teacher pipeline. She has served in advisory roles for the Council for Exceptional Children, NCLD, the National Center for Systemic Improvement, the National Center of Intensive Interventions, and AIR. 

She holds a PhD in learning disabilities and reading with a focus on English language learners from the University of Miami.
